Seamless Gutters for North Houston Homes

Gutters are the first line of defense between a heavy Gulf Coast rain and your foundation, siding and landscaping. Six Oak Exteriors forms seamless aluminum gutters on site, sized to your roof and set up to move water where it belongs.

What we offer

5-Inch Seamless Gutters

The standard size on many homes. A good fit for smaller roof sections and moderate pitches when downspouts are placed correctly.

6-Inch Seamless Gutters

A 6-inch gutter can handle substantially more water than a 5-inch system, making it a strong option for larger roof areas, steep roof pitches, and homes that experience heavy runoff.

Aluminum Seamless Gutters

Formed in continuous runs on site, so there are no seams along the length to separate or leak over time.

Gutter Replacement

Removal of sagging, leaking or undersized gutters and installation of a properly pitched new system.

Gutter Guards

Guards that help keep leaves, pine needles and oak debris out of the system and reduce clogs.

Custom Gutter Colors

A range of colors to match or complement your trim, fascia, brick and roof.

Why gutter sizing matters in the Houston area

North Houston gets its rain in bursts. A summer thunderstorm or tropical system can drop inches of water in a short window, and an undersized or poorly pitched gutter simply can't keep up. When gutters overflow, water lands right next to the foundation, splashes up on siding and trim, and washes out beds and mulch.

Good gutters aren't only about the trough on the roofline. Downspout size, how many downspouts there are and where they discharge matter just as much.

5-inch vs. 6-inch gutters, in plain language

A 5-inch gutter is common and works well on many homes. A 6-inch gutter holds and moves noticeably more water and is usually paired with larger 3x4 downspouts, which clog less often.

Not every home needs 6-inch gutters. We look at the specifics before recommending a size:

  • Roof size — how much surface drains into each run
  • Roof pitch — steeper roofs send water faster
  • Water volume — valleys and roof sections that concentrate flow
  • Existing drainage — where water goes once it leaves the downspout
  • Home design — rooflines, fascia and how the system will look

What a Six Oak gutter install includes

We measure each run, form the gutter on site, set a proper pitch toward the outlets and secure it with hidden hangers. Downspouts are placed so water moves away from the house, and we'll point out any spots where drainage beyond the downspout may need attention.

Seamless Gutters FAQs

Do I need 6-inch gutters?

Not necessarily. Many homes do well with 5-inch gutters. Large or steep roof sections, valleys and areas that overflow often benefit from 6-inch. We'll look at your roof and recommend what fits.

What does "seamless" mean?

The gutter is formed from a continuous coil of aluminum on site, so each run is one piece with joints only at corners and outlets. Fewer seams means fewer places to leak.

Are gutter guards worth it?

They help on homes surrounded by trees, especially oaks and pines. Guards reduce clogs and cleaning, though no guard makes gutters completely maintenance-free.

Can you match my trim color?

Yes. Seamless aluminum gutters come in a range of colors. We'll help you choose one that matches or complements your home.

Can you tie downspouts into underground drainage?

Yes. When water needs to be carried farther from the house, we can route downspouts into underground drain lines. See our French Drains & Drainage page.
