Concrete Work That's Prepared to Last

Preparation comes first

Concrete is only as good as what's underneath it. We remove old material where needed, prepare and compact the base, set forms carefully and add reinforcement appropriate to the job.

Drainage and slope

Every flat surface has to shed water somewhere. A patio that slopes toward the house or a driveway that holds puddles creates problems. We plan the slope so water runs away from the foundation and toward a spot where it can drain.

Placement and long-term durability

Proper finishing, control joints and curing help concrete resist cracking from heat, soil movement and daily use. No concrete is crack-proof, but good placement makes a real difference in how it ages.

Repair or replace?

Small cracks and isolated damage can sometimes be repaired. Widespread cracking, heaving, sinking sections or surfaces that hold water are usually better replaced. We'll give you a straightforward recommendation based on what we actually see.

Concrete Work FAQs

How long before I can drive on a new driveway?

Foot traffic is typically fine after a day or two, and vehicles usually after about a week, depending on weather. We'll give you specific guidance for your project.

Will my new concrete crack?

All concrete can develop some cracking over time. Control joints, proper base prep and correct curing help keep cracks where they're intended and minimize the rest.

Can you extend my existing driveway or patio?

Yes. Extensions are common. We'll look at the existing slab, elevation and drainage to plan the connection.

Should my cracked concrete be repaired or replaced?

It depends on the cause and extent. We'll explain the options honestly and recommend what makes sense for your property.
